INTRODUCTION

I provide comprehensive professional construction management and marketing, based upon experience as executive, project manager, architect, and construction manager. My most recent work has been with the Federal government with completed laboratory, office, courthouse, and military projects. Other work was in retail, financial, and other industries. I�ve developed excellent professional relationship, financial planning, and strategic planning skill with tactical administrative strength. This developed from increasing managerial / financial responsibility and from sizable administrative and technical staff support for strong comprehensive experience in facility planning, building design, contract procurement, and construction management.

EXPERIENCE SUMMARY

Construction Executive 1993 to Present � Successfully directed design and construction management of the new, leading edge $30 million National Water Quality Laboratory in Denver, Colorado for the U.S. General Services Administration and U.S. Geological Survey. This sophisticated project included comprehensive design programming analysis and user / consultant management; contractor procurement / administration; comprehensive field administration; move-in follow up; O&M documentation; and personnel management. Innovative computer aided and internet supported managerial and partnering techniques were successfully implemented for budgeted, on-schedule project delivery. 

Also, construction executive for $20 million Historic Federal Building Renovation Project and administered contract for construction phase and other GSA /  miscellaneous military projects in San Diego, Houston, Austin.  

Project Manager

1991 to 1993 - Assigned to various public / private renovation projects, including office buildings and residences; responsibilities involved design management, contract administration, QA Inspection, cost/ change order management and claims mitigation. 

Vice President & Project Manager

1990 to 1991 � For construction subsidiary for a health care chain. Responsible for new facility planning, design, construction, & major maintenance. $20 million in new construction and upgrades proposed during this time. Administered staff of three technical and clerical personnel assigned to five separate projects. 

Senior Project Manager

1982 to 1989 - For a large U.S. Bank; responsible for planning, schedule and budget development for branch banking facilities, projects valued at $13.5 million. Specific responsibilities included project initialization and strategy, consultant selection, design, contractor selection, FF&E purchases, development of computerized design standards (IBM CADAM), and construction field administration. 

Senior Project Manager

1980 to 1982 � For a major retail chain, with responsibilities for faculty design, planning, construction, and contract administration for over 300,000 SF of retail space in the south and mid-west, including two fast track, two story 65,000 SF prototype showrooms in Chicago.

Director of Field Engineering

1978 to 1980 � For a southeastern fast food development firm, responsible for engineering, construction, budgeting, and administration for the in-house program of 185 fast food restaurants in seven states.
